Nyra Banerjee is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam films. After appearing in many somewhat successful Telugu films, including Vamsi's Saradaga Kasepu in 2010 and director Srinivasa Murthy Nidadavole's comedy ‘Aa Okkadu’, she made her feature film debut. She appeared in the ‘One Night Stand’ movie from Bollywood.

She collaborated on the film ‘Azhar’ alongside director Tony D'Souza as well. Over the years she has been a part of a number of TV shows including Pishachini. The show was quite popular among viewers. Nyra has been the audience’s favorite star and enjoys a massive fan following.

Nyra's mother taught her ghazals and classical music when she was quite little. She even performed a couple of child-friendly tunes.

Nyra’s Debut

She was set to portray the role of "Sita" in filmmaker G. V. Iyer's Ramayana-based film, but the project was scrapped as a result of the director's untimely passing. Then, portraying the role of "Sherry," she made her Bollywood debut in the movie "Toss: A Flip of Destiny." In addition to English, Nyra also works in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.

In 2016, Nyra Banerjee, formerly known as Madhuurima Banerjee, changed her name to Nyra Banerjee.

Nyra’s Education

One of the rare Indian actors with a strong educational background is Nyra. She acknowledged that she had a five-year integrated BLS LLB degree and that she specializes in intellectual property rights.

The actress was recently in Capetown, shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. It will be interesting to watch her perform dangerous stunts alongside d=some of the other celebrities.
