EXCLUSIVE:Shivangi Joshi Was Zapped To Know That I'll Play Her Mother In 'Barsaatein': Saii Ranade

Sony TV is all set to launch a new show titled 'Barsaatein', which is produced by Balaji Telefilms. The show stars actors like Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon in the lead roles. The promo of the show is out and has gotten rave reviews.

BollywoodMDB exclusively reported about actors like Vipul Deshpande, Preet Kaur Nayak and Riya Doshi bagging the show. Now, we got in touch with actress Saii Ranade who is all set to play the character of Shivangi's onscreen mother in the show and asked her about her first meeting with the actress.

Saii quipped, "Shivangi and I exchanged pleasantries but when she came to know that I will be playing her mother, she was zapped. She thought I am young for the role. But we connected very well. She is a great actress and have a lot of experience in the industry. She has done some very popular characters and I am glad to work with her on 'Barsaatein'. We haven't shot a lot but still have connected very well. Sahni family consists of four people and all of us have gelled along pretty well. So much so that, I remember I had an emotional scene and Shivangi also got teary eyed. I just hope the bond grows and reflects on screen".

We asked Saii as to what made her take up the project, she said, "Bhakti is not a regular daily soap character. She isn't very typical. She has a career of her own and is a working woman. She manages both her personal and professional life very well and that is what derived me towards the show. The show being produced by Ektaa Kapoor was like a cherry on the cake. Also, the fact that I will play Shivangi's mother left me excited."
