Puneesh Sharma is best known for his stint in Bigg Boss 11. He was one of the finalists of the show and had an interesting journey in the show. He found love in co-contestant Bandgi Kalra and his intimacy with her on the show was often discussed.
The businessman turned actor is now a producer! Puneesh has come up with a YouTube channel named ‘VolumeUp’ wherein he is producing content. He also featured in a recent music video titled ‘Haara Nahi’. The song depicts his struggle in the showbiz world and the setbacks he faced and despite everything, he chose to keep going and not quit.
Puneesh was M.I.A for quite some time and in a conversation with BollywoodMDB, he reasoned out the same and said, “Well, during the pandemic many people lost their lives. It affected me a lot and made me realize the importance of being there for our aging parents. I moved back to Delhi to be with my parents and spend some quality time with them. Apart from that, my experiences lately in the industry weren’t very pleasant. I was asked to do workshops and invest my time and energy into a movie. After spending around six months doing the preps, the producer of the project didn’t turn up and the movie isn’t happening. I had bagged meaty parts in two television shows. I showed up on the sets only to realize that the roles were assigned to others. All this kept me away from showbiz for a while”.
He added, “After facing such unpleasant experiences, I decided to open my own production house and give employment to other people like me who don’t have a Godfather in the industry. My song ‘Haara Nahi’ is somewhere down the line inspired by my own struggles and setbacks. I hope the viewers like the project”.
We asked him about his Bigg Boss journey and his thoughts on the recent seasons, he said, “I’d gain a lot of popularity through the same and people loved my stint in the show. However, the popularity of Bigg Boss is often short-lived. The moment the other season is launched, the celebrities from the previous season start to lose their credibility. With Bigg Boss OTT also coming into the race, it seems like the show goes on-air throughout the year. I feel, now, the show has lost its charm and meaning”.
We asked the handsome chap if he is up for other reality shows like Bigg Boss OTT or Lock Upp, and he said, “I love reality shows and I really like to observe people in such shows. I’d love to take up such shows.”
