Durga Puja, Bengal's much-anticipated celebration, concluded yesterday. Sindoor Khela is a significant ceremony performed on Dashami, the concluding day of the Puja. As Maa Durga prepares to leave her parental house with her children, married ladies bid her farewell. They put vermillion on each other and pray for the long lives of their husbands.

Many performers returned to their roots to celebrate Vijaya Dashami in the most traditional way possible, taking part in sindoor khela and dhunuchi naach. Rupali Ganguly, Smriti Irani, Sumona Chakravarti, Ishita Dutta, and other actresses wore traditional white sarees with red borders for Sindoor Khela. They took to social media to share photos from the occasion.
