Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit are both major movie stars. Due to their acting careers, the pair has a huge fan base. You must have noticed, though, that Madhuri and Amitabh have rarely appeared together on screen. But it's not as if they never made an attempt! They began working on several projects, but regrettably, none of them could be completed. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, at least four of their films were put on hold.
Films are occasionally created only to be shelved later. When Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan repeatedly tried to collaborate, this is what happened. The two celebrities were expected to appear together up to four times, but that didn't happen.
'Bandua' was the name of the first of these projects. JP Dutta was supposed to direct it in 1989. The movie never continued past the mahurat shot for whatever reason that is unclear. Film critic Subhash K Jha claims that Dutta declined to comment on what happened to "Bandua" but instead remarked, "Ask Mr. Bachchan about it."
Later, the two were also cast together by filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh. He wanted Madhuri Dixit to play Madhabi Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan to play the renowned Satyajit Ray. Reports indicate that there were concerns about the Ray family taking offence, though. Consequently, this initiative was also shelved.
Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit were slated to star in the comedy about a scientist and a musician in 2004, and director Somnath Sen had previously showed interest in doing so. There was a lot of writing during the time. In spite of the hoopla, the project never really took off. Big B declined to work on the project. At the time, he said to IANS, "I decided not to do Somnath Sen's purely because the project didn't enthuse me after a point."

Long ago, Madhuri Dixit described how she worked with Amitabh Bachchan on a never-released film during an appearance on Salman Khan's "Bigg Boss" "Amit ji and I shot for 1.5 hours for a film that ultimately got shelved," she remarked. The movie's name was Shanakth.
Amitabh Bachchan is presently filming for Nag Ashwin's 'Project K'. Lead parts in the film are also played by Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. The movie largely relies on VFX and visuals. Almost 70–75% of the film has been produced. The final few days of filming for Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan are remaining. The renowned performer has started working again on the Ribhu Dasgupta-written and -directed film "Section 84." Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee, and Nimrat Kaur are the actors.
Madhuri Dixit's most recent appearance was in "Maja Ma," which was made available on Prime Video. The actress appeared with Ritwick Bhowmik and Gajraj Rao.
