Confirmed: Nimrit Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi to exit Choti Sardarni

Produced by Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment, Choti Sardarni has been entertaining audiences ever since hitting the airwaves in 2019. Apart from a slew of twists and turns, the show keeps making it to the headlines for the frequent entry and exit of the actors as well.

Actor Avinesh Rekhi, who played the male lead on Choti Sardarni, quit the show recently after it went for a generation leap. His exit led to the entry of actor Mahir Pandhi. The leading lady Nimrit Ahluwalia had also opted out of the show last year in March due to health issues. However, she made a return in a few months as the show went in for the 20-year leap.

The latest we hear is that Ahluwalia is set to bid adieu to the show once again, and it is again due to her health issues. It is not just her, in fact, actor Mahir Pandhi has also put his papers down.

The makers have reportedly already begun their search for a new couple to take the story forward. The new couple will not be replacing Ahluwalia and Pandhi. They will instead be playing new characters. Ahluwalia’s character will play a pivotal part in bringing the new characters to the forefront.

Once the new faces take over and the audience gets familiar with them, Ahluwalia and Pandhi's characters will eventually fade away and exit. The makers are reportedly planning to introduce the new couple in the first week of April.
