Breaking! Kanikka Kapur To Play The Lead Role Opposite Nishant Malkhani in SAB TV’s Next?

Sony SAB is coming up with a new show titled ‘Pashmina’ to be produced by Siddharth P Malhotra under his banner Alchemy. The show will feature Nishant Singh Malkhani in the lead role. The show is slated to be shot in Kashmir. Nishant recently interacted with the paparazzi and revealed that he will be staying in Kashmir for five months for his upcoming show.

While Nishant has been finalized for the show, the hunt for an apt face opposite the actor is on for quite some time. The makers have done numerous auditions to find an actress who would fit into the character of a Kashmiri local and also would strike a chemistry with Nishant.

As per our highly placed sources, the makers and the channel have liked the audition of Kanikka Kapur and are considering her for the role. Kannika has worked with Sony SAB’s sister channel Sony Entertainment Television in their show ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2’. A source revealed, “Kanikka looks promising in the role and makers are in advanced talks with her. If everything goes well, she has a higher chance of bagging the show”.
