The tournament's crucial league games, beginning in the first week of October, prompted the makers to postpone the show's launch until after October 20. This strategic decision aligns well with the fervor of cricket consumption in India. This season's theme will pit couples against singles, adding an intriguing dynamic. Names like Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma, Kanwar Dhillon-Alice Kaushik, and Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain are circulating as potential contestants.

The new season is set to introduce couple mentors as well, with Karan Kundrra-Tejasswi Prakash and Eijaz Khan-Pavitra Punia reportedly being approached for these roles. The concept of shifting faces from one show to another is not uncommon among TV channels, and it appears that Nyra Banerjee, Soundous Moufakir, Kanika Mann, and Gia Manek have been considered for ‘Bigg Boss 17’. Among them, Gia Manek is the exception, while the other three ladies were part of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’. Gossips TV, a social media handle, reported this development. Nyra Banerjee and Soundous Moufakir's personalities seem apt for a show like this, prompting speculation about their acceptance of the offer.

The focus on couples and love stories has been evident since ‘Bigg Boss 13’, and rumors suggest that Arjit Taneja has been approached as well. The pairing of Soundous Moufakir and Arjit Taneja gained popularity after ‘KKK 13’, leading to speculation that the makers might reunite them. However, Arjit mentioned his preference for quality fiction shows over reality TV, indicating he's not particularly interested in ‘Bigg Boss’.
