Bigg Boss 16: Uttaran actress Sreejita De condemns Manya Singh's remark about TV actors

Bengali Beauty Sreejita De, who has appeared in a number of popular shows like Uttaran, Aahat and Ladies Special, is currently in the Bigg Boss house. In the last Shukravaar ka Vaar episode, Sreejita had a showdown with former beauty pageant winner Manya Singh over the latter's remark on TV actors.

It so happened that Manya and Sreejita got into a heated exchange and the former retorted saying: "What have you done? I was an ambassador of the country (as Miss India). Who are you? Just a TV actress... What's your level?"

Taking offence to this, Sreejita slammed Manya and said “Aaj level hota hai, kal ko log yun bhul jaate hai. Aaj mera show chal raha hai superhit, toh saare channels par mera news hai. Kal show band ho jaye na, ek mahine mein log bhul jaate hai."

"Yeh jo misconception hota hai na, logon ke dimaag mein, ki main ye hoon, aisa kuch nahin hai. Naam bante aur mitt jaate hain... Ek din bhi nahin lagta,” she added.

Meanwhile, actor Arjun Bijlani also took offence to Manya's derogatory comments. Without taking her name, Arjun took to Twitter and wrote, "I’m sick of people passing comments like Yeh toh TV actress hai and or yeh toh TV actor hai .. And the funniest is they use the platform of TV and pass such comments. Don’t come on television if you have such a big problem. TV big hai tha aur rahega . #BiggBoss16.”

A section of users on social media have also come out in support of Sreejita and called out Manya Singh for her disparaging remarks, that have insulted all the hard working people associated with the Television industry.
