Anuj Sachdeva in and Raqesh Bapat out of Rajan Shahi’s next
Rajan Shahi, known for producing a number of top-rated shows for the small screen, including Anupama and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is presently busy working on a new show, which is expected to hit the airwaves on Star Bharat.
The show is reportedly inspired by the 2002 film, Om Jai Jagdish, and boasts of an ensemble. The makers have roped in some of the most popular television actors for pivotal characters, including Shaheer Sheikh and Kinshuk Vaidya.
Bigg Boss 15 fame Raqesh Bapat was also onboard to play an important role on the show, but the latest we hear that the actor has exited for reasons best known to him.
Rajan Shahi also confirmed that Bapat will no longer be a part of the new show and it was a mutual decision taken together. And if fresh reports are to be believed, the makers have now roped in Anuj Sachdeva to play the same character that was first offered to Bapat.
Sachdeva, who was last seen in a cameo in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna on Star Plus, will play the elder brother to Shaheer and Kinshuk on the show.
The show is expected to begin production on February 9, 2022.
