Television heartthrob Karan Tacker, who has appeared in both fiction and non-fiction shows on Indian television, is all set to make his film debut with Karan Johar ’s much awaited film Student Of The Year 2 , a sequel to his previous directorial Student Of The Year (2012) which launched Alia Bhatt , Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in films.

According to a report published in a leading daily, the makers of Student Of The Year 2 have zeroed in on Karan Tacker to essay the character of the main antagonist opposite Tiger Shroff . The film is being directed by Punit Malhotra directorial. A source associated with the project reveals to the daily, “Karan’s turn will see him come up with obstacles for the hero. He has already started his prep. Tiger will be sporting a new look for the film that includes a short crop.”

On being asked about the same, director Punit Malhotra refused to spill the beans. “Student of the Year 2 features Tiger Shroff and two new girls. As of now, the only person on board is Tiger. We will announce the rest of the cast soon,” he said.

Student Of The Year 2 is being made under the banner of Dharma Productions.
