Veteran actress Neena Gupta recently hit the headlines when she asked for work on a social media platform and garnered praises for her bold and honest move, so much so that even Priyanka Chopra could not stop herself and wrote “Inspired” on her post. Gupta was last seen in Film Farm India’s television show Dil Se Diya Vachan which aired on ZEE TV in between 2010-2011. But, if reports are to be believed, the seasoned actress might make her comeback on television very soon.

As per reports, Neena is planning to remake her classic show Saans, which catapulted her to the apogee of stardom. Premiered on Star Plus in 1999, Saans is considered to be one of the finest television shows made in India. Neena did not just act in the show, she wrote, directed and produced it also.

The actress told a daily that the new version of Saans is indeed happening and this time around the story would focus on three generations of women. She also mentioned that she wanted to cast as many actors from the original version as possible. Now, who all are retained from the original show is something we will be able to see only when the show goes on air, but Neena stated it very categorically that the lead actor of the original version, Kanwaljit Singh was definitely going to be a part of this one too.
