It has been more than 2 years that the masses have not seen television hunk, Mohit Malik. Mohit impressed all with his performance as the psychotic husband in ‘Doli Armaanon Ki’ that last aired on Zee TV in 2015. Soon after the show, the actor appeared in dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ in 2015 and since then, his fans are just waiting to see him come back on the small screen. Their wait is finally over as it’s now confirmed that the actor is coming back on television with Gul Khan’s next and his new show will air on Star Plus. The show is an adaptation of the superhit Bengali show, ‘Potol Kumar Gaanwala’ that aired on Star Jalsa. The show will be produced by Gul along with Invictus T Mediaworks.

The Bengali show follows the plot of a young girl who grows up without a father but blessed with a great singing talent and aspires to become a professional singer. It is an emotional story and the Bengali show was a staggering hit. In the Hindi adaptation, Mohit Malik will be playing a singer, Sikander Singh Gill. He confirmed the news to a leading tabloid saying, “Yes the news is true, I am doing the show. We will start shooting for it very soon. I cannot say much about the show, you will have to give some time for that.”

Reportedly, the show will be titled as ‘Kulfi Kumar Baajewala’.
