One of the most popular television actors Shahbaz Khan has been roped in to play the challenging role of Ravana in Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Rahul Kumar Tewary’s popular show, Karmphal Data Shani. In the upcoming episodes of the show, the audience will see how Ravana gained control over Swarna Mahal and became what he was. We are sure that with an actor as talented as Khan playing the titular role, the audience is going to love the show even more.

Talking about how excited he is to have bagged the role, Shahbaz says, "It is an honour for me to be playing this role. It's an opportunity people get once in a lifetime. I have always been fascinated by Ravana. People tend to view him as an all-negative character. But, he had his positives too. Ravana was a learned Pandit."

Interestingly, Khan had once played the role of King Shahastarjun in a mythological show called Ravana (2008). While his character was against Ravana and opposed him in his previous show, he is now playing Ravana himself in his latest show. Karmphal Data Shani, which airs on Colors, will now depict the conflict between Ravana and Shani over the acquisition of the Swarna Mahal.
