This year we saw ‘Rising Star’ as India’s first ever reality show which involves Live Audience Voting. It was a singing reality show which was judged by Shankar Mahadevan , Monali Thakur , and actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh . Diljit, who’s busy with the shoots of the biopic on former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh, in Shahabad, will soon return to the small screens early next year. When asked about judging the season 2 of ‘Rising star’, the singer said, “Yes, I will be part of the Rising Star again. Last year I had a blast doing the show which threw up so many budding talents. The search for the next great voice is what has urged me to take this up in the next season as well.”

As the show was first of its kind in India, a source reveals that the channel isn’t planning to make too many changes in the format which worked well with the audience the last time.

As we know the actor-singer is busy shooting for his upcoming movie with Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi . Diljit has also recently signed Dinesh Vijan’s comedy film ‘ Arjun Patiala ’, opposite actress Kriti Sanon .
