Comedy is a genre which, if presented well, can do wonders on big and small screens. There have been many iconic comedy shows on Indian television which are still remembered for their brilliant plots and performances. There is a huge market for comedy shows in our country and that is why every leading general entertainment channel has one or two fiction or non-fiction comedy shows in their programming. The latest we hear that makers at Shashi Sumeet Productions are coming up with a new family comedy show, which will air bi-weekly on Star Plus. Actress Monica Khanna has been roped in to play the female lead in the drama.

Monica was last seen in Colors’ Thapki Pyaar Ki. Besides her, the yet-to-be-titled show will also see the presence of noted actors Ketki Dave and Kiran Kumar in the cast. They will play a couple in the show. Actor Rahul Lohani is also a part of the show. According to sources, Monica will be seen married to Rahul’s character. Monica’s character will be modern and her mother-in-law (Ketki) will be desi. They both will keep having fights.
