There has a lot been said and done about the most talked about show on Sony TV and it was finally put down for the good, and yes we are talking about Pehredaar Piya Ki! And no, the show will not revive its plot, which eventually got them into trouble! As per new updates, the female lead of the show, Tejasswi Prakash, confirmed that producers of the show are all set to replace the fictional plot with a new story concept and most of the cast of Pehredaar Piya Ki will be retained in the new show, excluding child actor Affan Khan aka Ratan Maan Singh! Whereas Tejasswi Prakash, will still be playing the leading role in this revamped setting of the show!

Tejasswi also talked about the basic plot line of the serial, revealing it will be a love story but not the leap to the previous story or sequel of any sort. She also explained further, “We ended Pehredaar Piya Ki abruptly, so we wanted something to take its place. The new storyline is set in the traditional backdrop of Rajasthan and I play a modern character!” And while talking about the show, she clarified, “Our show was number one on the channel till the time it was being aired. Even Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) allowed us to run the show on a different time slot and it only proved that the show wasn’t anything that people complained about”

As far as updates of this new show are concerned, Tejasswi Prakash already shot a promo for the show, and Dil Dosti Dance fame Shantanu Maheshwari is considered to play the lead opposite Tejasswi.
