Playing a wide range of characters is very important for an actor to keep his versatility alive. Television actor Gagan Malik also believes in that and hence, after playing a number of mythological characters in his career, has taken up a completely new role. Gagan, who played Lord Krishna in Sony Entertainment Television's Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, is all set to join the star cast of Star Plus' hit show, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji. The actor will play a very different character in the show. His character will be a celibate in the Shashi Sumeet Productions' show.

The actor confirmed the news to an entertainment portal saying, “Yes, I am entering Tu Sooraj (Main Saanjh Piyaji. This is a different kind of role for me after playing the Godly avatars of Ram and Krishna. This Bal Brahmachari is very strict and short-tempered. He will not think twice before giving a curse to anyone. So after playing the patient roles, I am now getting to play an angry man’s role.”

According to sources, a lot of twists and turns will be introduced in the show after his entry.
