Producer Ekta Kapoor has started working on the second instalment of her hit show Kasauti Zindagi Kay in full swing. The television queen announced Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 a couple of weeks ago on Twitter, and the latest update on the project is that she has approached hot and handsome Shaheer Sheikh to play the male lead in it. Sheikh, who impressed the audience with his terrific performance in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, will play the popular character of Anurag Basu in Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 if he decides to come onboard.

Some reports claim that Shaheer is the first actor Ekta has approached for the second season of Kasauti Zindagi Kay. The actor is, however, still considering the offer and has yet not given his final nod to the project.

Earlier, it was being reported that Shaheer was set to headline Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi producer Yash Patnaik's next show. But now it looks like that he will have to choose one over the other.

If all goes well, Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 will hit the television screen in mid-2018 on Star Plus
