Yatra 2: Mammootthy UNVEILS The First LOOK Of His Next Flick! (View Post)

With its fascinating plot, Mammootty's 'Yatra' grabbed the hearts of both reviewers and moviegoers in 2019. After nearly four years, filmmaker Mahi V Raghav returns with a highly anticipated sequel. Mammootty went to X to reveal the first-look poster for ‘Yatra 2,’ which features him opposite Jiiva. While Yatra depicted the life of late CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the second instalment goes into the political career of his son, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Mammootty played the late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 'Yatra,' and he gave an outstanding performance. Jiiva reprises his role as his son, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in the sequel.

Mammootty went to X on October 9 to reveal the intriguing first-look poster, writing, “Presenting the first look of Yatra 2. In cinemas worldwide from 8th Feb 2024.”

About ‘Yatra 2’:

‘Yatra 2’ chronicles the life of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan. The film will highlight his incredible political career, including his decisive win in the 2019 elections. Fans may mark their calendars for the theatrical release on February 8, 2024, according to the poster.

V Celluloid and the Three Autumn Leaves banner collaborated on the biopic. Santhosh Narayanan is in charge of the soundtrack, while Madhie is in charge of the cinematography in ‘Yatra 2.’

Mammootty is now enjoying the success of ‘Kannur Squad,’ a crime-thriller directed by cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj on his directorial debut. Mammootty is also set to star in upcoming projects such as ‘Kaathal - The Core’ alongside ‘Jyothika’, ‘Bazooka’, and ‘Bramayugam.’

Jiiva was most recently seen in ‘Varalaru Mukkiyam,’ a romantic comedy film written and directed by Santhosh Rajan in his directorial debut and produced by Jiiva's father, RB Choudary, under their production firm Super Good Films. He also had a brief cameo appearance in Venkat Prabhu's film ‘Custody.’
