Yashoda Teaser: Samantha Prabhu portrays pregnant women battling numerous obstacles to survive in the upcoming sci-fi thriller

Yashoda, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has released its first trailer, and it has Samantha pulling off some incredible action maneuvers while her character is pregnant. The teaser begins with Samantha's Yashoda being informed of her pregnancy in a medical facility. The doctor gives her a list of things to avoid, however in the cutaways, Yashoda is seen engaging in those exact things.

Samantha took to her social media and shared the teaser along with the caption, “Strength, willpower, and adrenaline (sic).” Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma, and other actors also appear in the movie alongside Samantha. Yashoda, a film directed by Hari and Harish, will be released this year and is being produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies label.

Speaking of the story, director Hari & Harish said that Yashoda is based on a true incident

The makers said, "The backdrop of the story is about a crime which is happening without the knowledge of anyone in the society. The crime which we are showing is based on a true incident but we have added some psychological thriller flavour to it. It is about a crime that is confronted by a normal girl when she learns about it. How she exposes the plot.”

With Yashoda, Samantha will make her debut in Hindi-language theatres. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam are the five Indian languages in which the movie will be released.
