Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram is one of the most talked-about films today as it created havoc on the big screens. Fans are hailing the film and calling it a ‘Hollywood Level' extravaganza. The film has been very special as it marks superstar Kamal Haasan's return to the big screen after 4 years. But apart from that, this film has been a surreal experience to work on for director Lokesh Kanagaraj as it was his dream to direct someone like Kamal Haasan.
In an open note that he shared on Thursday, he stated that it’s a very emotional thing for him and also mentioned that Vikram is a gift from a fanboy to his idol. “This is the most emotional I've ever felt before the release of my film. As I can remember, ever since I was a kid, I loved Ulayanayagan the most. This is a surreal experience for me, that I am directing a film in his honour," Lokesh's note reads.
He added, “It has been 18 months since I started working on 'Vikram'. As a team, we have shed blood and sweat (quite literally) for this film.”
Lokesh also hinted at Vikram’s special connection with his last directorial Kaithi, “And, please do revisit Kaithi before entering into the world of Vikram.”
