One of the top stars in the Tamil film industry is Vijay Sethupathi. He appeared in the just-released movie "Michael," which stars Sundeep Kishan in the title role. The action flick, which was directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi, has a three-day gross of Rs 11 crore. Currently, Vijay Sethupathi is filming his Hindi movie "Jawan," in which he will co-star with Shah Rukh Khan. Recently, when asked about his thoughts about being referred to as a pan-Indian celebrity in an interview following the release of his debut web series on the digital platform, actor Vijay Sethupathi responded that he disagrees with the label.
Vijay who is currently promoting his Hindi web series Farzi which stars Shahid Kapoor spoke in detail about being called a Pan-India star. He said, “No, sir; I work as an actor. With that Pan-Indian statement, I don't feel comfortable. Pressure can also be produced by it at times. There is no need to label me; I am just an actor. So, I think that's all. Every language film is what I want to do. A Bengali or Gujarati movie is what I want to do. I'll thus go and work there if I have the opportunity.”
Several actors, including Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Prabhas, are being referred to as pan-Indian stars for their work in various film industries. Dulquer Salman also had previously stated that he dislikes the term "pan India" as well.
Raj & DK’s ‘Farzi’ stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupati, Raashi Khanna, and Kay Kay Menon in the lead roles. The series will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on February 10th. He also has another film which is set to release this December which is titled Merry Christmas. He is set to star with Katrina Kaif in the film.
