Liger’ recently hit the theatres on the 25th of August. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday as the leads. The film also had a special cameo by Mike Tyson. Recently Vijay shared, "He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English, and I can't even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him."

In the same conversation, Vijay spoke about Mike Tyson enjoying Indian food and music but not the crowds. He shared, “He loves India a lot for its food, music, and people. In fact, he used to ask us to bring Indian food for him which he enjoyed a lot. But yes, he is scared of the crowd here." Reportedly the film ‘Liger’ has closed a deal with an OTT platform for streaming rights. According to the reports, the streaming platform has paid a heavy price for the rights although no amount has been revealed. The OTT release date is still awaited.

The ‘Liger’ is about Vijay's character who has a dream to be an MMA artist. He also has a stammering problem. Ananya Panday plays his love interest. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan as the protagonist's mother and Ronit Roy as his coach. The cast includes Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu in pivotal roles.
