One of the most well-known actors in Telugu cinema is Vijay Deverakonda. He is an outsider who achieved success in the film industry. The actor starred in movies like Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, Dear Comrade, and others. South star Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Puri Jagannadh’s Liger. Apart from his upcoming film’s release, the youngster has been in news for his rumours of dating South’s popular face Rashmika Mandanna or being called out by Sara Ali Khan as her crush. Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor have also shown their admiration for him in public which made headlines.

But Vijay Deverakonda, whose name conjures up the image of his well-liked hot-tempered and vindictive on-screen alter ego Arjun Reddy, seems unconcerned with nearly everything in his actual life, including dating rumours. Vijay's Zen-like composure in the face of invasive media scrutiny is also evident in his development as a public figure, where he has come to the realisation that some opinions do not need to be made public, much like his love life. The celebrity claims the rumours are merely "collateral damage."

Vijay responded to all these rumours by saying, “I think it’s just collateral damage of being a public figure. When people love you and want to know more about you, they’re just interested in your life. If there are news articles coming, I’m ok with it,” the actor says in a group interview ahead of the release of Liger.

Further, he added, I’d rather be who I am and have these rumours written about me than be a nobody and have nothing written about me. So I’m ok with the not necessarily true stuff, or not necessarily productive stuff. I’m comfortable with it, it does not bother me.”

Vijay’s Bollywood debut film. Liger is slated to release in theatres on August 25, 2022. It also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
