Currently, Thalapathy Vijay is in Hyderabad filming for his forthcoming movie, Varisu. The actor was seen watching a film at Mahesh Babu's AMB Cinemas on August 15. He reportedly watched Bimbisara (2022) starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. While he was returning to the hotel, he was photographed by the paparazzi. His driver can be seen defending him from the photographers in the pictures circulating on social media.

Vijay made the decision to do something that he could never imagine doing in Chennai due to his popularity in the city. The actor went to AMB Cinemas and headed to the theater to see a movie. He was seen walking around town in a blue shirt and black pants. He put on a face mask and covered his face.

The paparazzi, however, recognized him and took pictures of him leaving the theater and getting into his car. His driver can be seen lowering the sun visor to hide him from the cameras.

Varisu, a movie starring Thalapathy Vijay and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, would hit theaters around Sankranti or Diwali 2022. The final phase of filming is underway, and production is anticipated to be finished later this year. After Varisu, Vijay will once more work with Lokesh Kanagaraj, who he previously worked with on Master (2021).
