Following a cardiac arrest on January 27, Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away on February 18 at a late hour on a Saturday. He was transferred to a private hospital in Bengaluru after initially needing rapid medical attention at a community hospital in Kuppam, but his condition remained severe. On January 27, the politician-turned-actor Taraka Ratna attended a political gathering in Chitoor that was opened by the son of the late chief minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Nara Lokesh.
The actor joined Lokesh for prayer at a mosque and offered prayers at the Lakshmipuram Sri Varadaraja Swamy Temple during the event. Many Telugu networks have uploaded the actor's most recent video to YouTube, which shows him feeling uneasy as he tries to go through a crowd of hundreds of people. At the padayatra, while Nandamuri Bala Krishna was nearby, he passed out.
When Taraka Ratna arrived at the hospital, he reportedly had no pulse. His pulse was restored by the medical staff, but he remained unconscious. The young actor had blocked arteries near his heart, according to several media reports. His left valve was reportedly 90% occluded.
Alekha Reddy, Taraka Ratna's wife, and their three children are his only survivors.
His funeral will take place in Mahaprasthanam at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, this evening, February 20, 2023. The mortal remains have been held at the Film Chamber headquarters in the meantime so that close friends, business associates, and family members may pay their respects.
