If you are a fan of Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and the larger-than-life films of SS Rajamouli (like RRR and Baahubali series), then we have some good news for you! The filmmaker has confirmed that RRR is getting a sequel and that his father, Vijayendra Prasad, is currently working on the script of the sequel.
"My father Vijayendra Prasad is the writer of all my films, including RRR. We discussed a bit about RRR2 and he's working on the story," said Rajamouli, who's currently in Chicago.
While fans are surely rejoicing at this announcement, we only hope the sequel is even more grand and entertaining than the first one.
While the project is in the pre-production stage, it will be interesting to see if the storyline is in continuation with the prequel or gets a rehash. Also, it has to be seen which characters from the first installment are retained in the second one.
For starters, 'RRR', which released on 24th March this year, has been written by KV. Vijayendra Prasad and produced by DVV Danayya. An epic period drama set in the British Raj, the Rajamouli film stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, along with Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran and others playing pivotal roles in the film.
The film follows the lives of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Charan) and Komaram Bheem (played by Jr. NTR), their friendship and their fight against the colonial regime.
