Thirteen years ago, Shruti Haasan marked her debut in the film industry with the 2009 action thriller Luck. Over the years, she has starred in films, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, 3, D-Day, Srimanthadu, Welcome Back, Gabbar is Back, and many more. She has been one of the most vocal actresses in both South and Bollywood. The diva is never afraid to express her opinions, whether they are related to her career or her love life. The Salaar star recently participated in a conversation in which she was asked whether the film industry was blatantly male-dominated. In her distinctive way, Shruti Haasan responded, adding that our culture as a whole is heavily male-dominated and that cinema alone cannot hold this label.
She continued by saying that all forms of art, including film, are simply reflections of the culture we live in. Shruti expressed, "I think we live in a male-dominated society. I don't think it's fair to single out cinema as cinema is a reflection of telling stories of what we see. Sometimes it becomes a chicken and egg situation but mostly I would say art imitates life."
Shruti Haasan most recently appeared in the online series Bestseller on Amazon Prime Video, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Arjan Bajwa, and Gauhar Khan. Meanwhile, Shruti has three huge projects in her kitty which include Prashant Neel’s Salaar starring Prabhas, Chiru 154 with Megastar Chiranjeevi, and NBK 107 with Nandamuri Balakrishna. She was recently photographed looking stunning in a black desi avatar on the Hyderabad set of her upcoming film Salaar.
