Samantha says she is done speaking about divorce with Naga Chaitanya
South star Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back in news again for her sizzling dance number in the much-awaited pan-India film Pushpa: The Rise. A few months ago, she received outstanding response for her powerful performance in Amazon Prime Videos’ successful streaming show The Family Man 2 (2021), co-starring Manoj Bajpayee.
A publication caught up with Samantha at the recently concluded Filmfare OTT Awards 2021, where she spoke about her digital debut, split from Naga Chaitanya and facing trolls on social media platforms.
Her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, in particular, has been grabbing a lot of limelight lately. It was something totally unexpected and hence shocked fans and film enthusiasts across India.
Talking about the various speculations and the unwarranted attention to her personal life, Samantha said, “I think I am done speaking about it. It was important to speak about it and I have addressed it but I don't think it is necessary to keep on repeating that, again and again.”
When asked about how it was playing Raji in The Family Man 2, she said, “It was liberating. Women actors don't often get access to such roles, to explore different dimensions of a woman's personality. It was extremely liberating to not be a damsel in distress but be the one kicking ass.”
