Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has refuted the circulating reports claiming that she borrowed INR 25 crore ($3.3 million) from a prominent Telugu film industry actor to fund her Myositis treatment. Addressing the issue on her Instagram, Samantha asserted that she had not sought financial assistance and was fully capable of taking care of herself.
Rumors about Samantha seeking financial help for her medical treatment had been making rounds in the media for a while. However, she decided to set the record straight through her social media handles, denying any such borrowing.
She wrote, “25 crores to treat Myositis!? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I am glad I am only spending the smallest fraction of that. And, I don't think I was paid in marbles for all the work I've done in my career. So, I can easily take care of myself. Thank you. Myosotis is a condition thousands suffer from. Let's please be responsible with the information we put out regarding the treatment.”
One video report by Sakshi TV alleged that Samantha had borrowed a significant sum from a leading Telugu actor, but no specific name was disclosed. As of now, there have been no official statements from Samantha or anyone else regarding this matter.
Shifting the focus to her professional endeavors, Samantha recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming web series 'Citadel,' where she shares the screen space with Varun Dhawan.
