With rising COVID-19 cases in the country, theatres are operating at a 50% occupancy rate and avoiding late-night shows due to the night curfew. As a result, many films are being postponed from their initial release dates. The same could happen with the Ravi Teja-starrer Khiladi, which is scheduled for a February 11th release. But according to a source, the film is likely to be postponed.
Even if the film is postponed, it won’t be much delayed compared to other films. The film will likely be delayed for a week only. The reason behind it is that the night curfew in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which are major locations for Ravi Teja’s movies, is likely to be lifted from February 14th onward, which is when theatres will again start running shows till late.
Giving the circumstances, the Telugu movie is likely to be shifted merely a week ahead and released on February 18th instead of the earlier designated date of February 11th.
Khiladi is directed by Ramesh Varma and it is produced by Pen Movies. The film, along with Ravi Teja, also stars Arjun Sarja, Unni Mukundan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Dimple Hayathi, Nikitin Dheer, Sachin Khedekar, Mukesh Rishi, Thakur Anoop Singh, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in strong supporting roles.
