Kaduva which features superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran and was originally set to release in theatres on June 30 has been postponed. On Monday (27th June), the Bro Daddy star published a note on his social media and announced the delay of his upcoming mass action-thriller. The actor stated that although the promotional activities will go forward as planned, the release date has been delayed by another week due to some unanticipated happenings. While the reason for the delay is still unknown, the film will now hit the theatres on July 7, 2022.
The Malayalam actor shared an apology note for his fans and theatre owners on his Instagram handle. The caption read, “Bigger the dreams, larger the obstacles. Stronger the enemies, harder the fight! #KADUVA release has been postponed by one week to 07/07/2022 due to unforeseen circumstances. We will continue with all promotional activities as scheduled and keep faith in all your love and support for this mass action entertainer. We deeply apologize to all the fans, distributors, and theatre owners across the world.”
Kaduva, which has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the major role, is directed by the well-known filmmaker Shaji Kailas. According to reports, the 90s set drama "Kaduva" is based on a real-life Kottayam resident named Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan. The antagonist will be played by Bollywood celebrity Vivek Oberoi. Actress Samyuktha Menon has been cast as the movie's leading lady.
