Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most prominent faces of Down South, and Bollywood, who is presently making a mark in the OTT sector, and has established her mettle with online programs like 'Jee Karda' and 'Aakhri Sach'. Her extensive career includes critically and financially successful blockbusters like as ‘Baahubali’, ‘Rebel’, and ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,’ among others.

Tamannaah is well-known for her stunning looks and great acting abilities, but she is also recognized for speaking up on topics of national importance. She has been particularly public about her difficulties in mastering the customs of femininity, explaining how she was frequently chastised for not being feminine enough, until she learnt to clap back at naysayers.

Tamannaah Bhatia learnt the hard way to stand up to bullies, and on this one occasion, she gave it back to Tamil filmmaker G Suraj, with whom she collaborated on the 2016 film ‘Kaththi Sandai’, over a degrading mark he made. During a promotional event, Suraj was asked how he made Tamannaah seem gorgeous in the film, and his response irritated many people, including the main actress.

According to Suraj, "audiences pay money to watch the hero fight and the heroines in full glamour. As a filmmaker, I dislike seeing my heroines dressed entirely in a sari. We should expect Tamannaah to appear glamorous if we're paying to see a movie. Any commercial film should have a sense of glitter."

He went on to say that all of the women who have made it in show business had glory to thank for their success. "Whenever my costume designer dresses my heroine in a knee-length gown, I tell him to cut it short." If my heroine becomes enraged, I'll inform her audience that they haven't paid so much for nothing," he adds.

Tamannaah immediately slammed the director's actions when the video went viral on social media, saying she was "hurt and angered by the comments made by director Suraj."

"It's 2016 and, ironically, I had to leave a film like Dangal in the middle about female empowerment to address this issue. I am deeply hurt and outraged by my director Suraj's comments, and I would like him to apologize not only to me, but to all women in the industry," she stated in a message on her Twitter page.

"We are actors, we are here to act and entertain the audience, and we should never be objectified as commodities," the Lust Stories 2 actor continued. “I've worked in the south business for over 11 years and have donned costumes that I'm comfortable with. Unfortunately, women in our nation are treated so casually, and I would like to encourage my viewers that our profession should not be stereotyped based on the statements of one such individual."

Following Tamannaah's harsh criticism of his statements, he apologized to the Babli Bouncer actor. Suraj apologized, saying he was "really sorry." "I am sorry and would like to apologize to Ms Tamannaah and all the industry's heroines. My objective was not to cast anyone in a negative light or to harm their feelings. I apologize once more and retract my remarks," he stated in a statement.
