King Nagarjuna got this year off to a great start with Bangarraju, and at the beginning of this month, Brahmastra hit theatres. The actor had a significant part in the movie, which has been breaking box office records. The actor is currently preparing for the release of his new movie, The Ghost. Praveen Sattharu, known for his work on Garuda Vega has directed the movie. While the movie is scheduled to open in theatres on October 5, Nagarjuna revealed some major news that might sadden his fans.

South star, Nagarjuna is to go on a sabbatical after his next film The Ghost! Here’s why?

In an interview, Nagarjuna announced that is set to go on a sabbatical after his film’s release. He said, What I've done is intentionally taken a break after The Ghost. The Ghost and Brahmastra were acknowledged before Covid in that way. But ever since Covid, I've noticed that people's tastes have changed significantly. I therefore truly want to take this year easy and don't want any new releases in 2022. I believe it will take another six months for us to fully grasp why consumers visit theatres and choose OTT. So, when the scripts come in, I have to decide: "Okay, this we should save for OTT since I am open to creating OTT films as well, and this we should make a theatrical.”

Nagarjuna also mentioned that those days are no more when it used to feel like I will do what I want. Now he has shared that he won’t start shooting for anything for at least the next six months.

In the action-packed thriller The Ghost, Nagarjuna will play an Interpol officer for the very first time. Sonal Chauhan will play the movie's female lead. Gul Panag and Anika Surendran also play important parts. Mark K. Robin oversaw the soundtrack for the movie, and Bharath and Saurab contributed the songs.
