After hosting the popular show for its first four seasons, it was previously reported that Mohanlal will be leaving Bigg Boss Malayalam. The creators, however, have already dispelled rumours with a fresh update.
According to the most recent sources, Mohanlal began filming on Friday, February 17, for the much anticipated Bigg Boss Malayalam season 5 first promo. The shoot for the veteran actor is anticipated to wrap up on Saturday, and the first promo is anticipated to debut the following weekend. By a recent social media post, Asianet has since revealed that the celebrity will be hosting the fifth season of the show. Mohanlal can be seen waiting for his shot at the shooting location in the photo posted on Asianet's social media accounts. Malaikottai Valiban, an upcoming film that will be Mohanlal's debut collaboration with renowned director Lijo Jose Pellissery, recently completed its first Jaisalmer schedule. For the much-awaited sequel to the duo's blockbuster outing, Lucifer, which was released in 2019, Mohanlal will soon return with actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran. In the next Rajinikanth film Jailer, he will also make a special cameo.
