The director, who intends to expand his movie universe with additional sequels and new episodes, will begin filming Kaithi 2 in 2023. According to rumors, exactly two months after the release of director Lokesh's ambitious film Leo, which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, the much-anticipated sequel, which will once again star Karthi as the beloved character Dilli, will begin production.
Lokesh Kanagaraj recently revealed some fascinating details regarding his ambitious intentions for LCU films in an interview. With his movie Leo, which will have a tie to the universes of Kaithi and Vikram, Thalapathy Vijay is officially joining the universe. Rolex, a character played by Suriya in the Kamal Haasan-starring movie, will have its own film. Thalapathy Vijay’s starrer Leo is touted to be one of the biggest films of the year. It will see Trisha Krishnan as the female lead and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. The film is already in shooting and the team is currently in Kashmir. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s flick is slated to hit the theatres this October.
