There are some excellent movies that have been released in theatres this week. The third week of February features some intriguing lineups in a variety of genres that will fill your weekend. See at the list of new South movies that are coming out this weekend in cinemas that you might enjoy.

Christy

Christy, a new Malayalam film starring Malavika Mohanan and Mathew Thomas. Benyamin and GR Indugopan wrote the script for Christy, which Alvin Henry directed. A teenage boy apparently falls in love with an older woman who is her tutor in the upcoming movie.

Vaathi/ Sir

In the movie, Dhanush plays a lecturer who works in a school. A period social play called Sir/Vaathi is touted as addressing the education mafia. The struggle of a young man against school privatisation is depicted in the movie. Dhanush will make his Telugu film debut with this movie. Venky Atluri, of Bimbisara fame, directs the film. The female lead is Samyuktha Menon.

Bakasuran

For the next Tamil film Bakasuran, Selvaraghavan, the director, has again turned into an actor. The movie, which is helmed by Mohan G, has a strong supporting cast that includes DOP Saravanan Subbiah, Nataraj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Radharavi, Rajan, Rams, and Devadharshini.

Sridevi Shoban Babu

The lead actors of the Telugu romantic drama Sridevi Shoban Babu are Santosh Soban and Gouri Kishan. The movie's music is composed by Syed Kamran, while Prashanth Kumar Dimmala directed it. Gouri Kishan, a star of "96," makes his Telugu cinema debut with this one.

Vinaro Bhayamu Vishnu Katha

In the romance drama Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, young hero Kiran Abbavaram plays the lead role. The story centres around two people who meet and become an important part of each other's lives when they cross paths and things take a turn. The main question in the story is whether they will have a close relationship and live happily ever after.
