Ramya Krishnan, a famous Telugu actor, once tried her luck in Bollywood. Her acting credits include Dayavan (1988), Parampara (1992), Khalnayak (1993), Chaahat (1996), Banarasi Babu (1997), and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998). She had anticipated greater success for her films, but that didn't happen. She revealed that she lacked the confidence to quit Telugu cinema in order to pursue a career in Bollywood while promoting the Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger (2022).

As per news outlets, Ramya revealed the reason for it by claiming that none of her films were successful in the Hindi cinema industry. She had already achieved stardom in the Telugu film industry at that point. She lacked the bravery to quit that business, throw everything up, and make a name for herself in Hindi films.

Ramya has been entertaining audiences in the South for almost 40 years. To name a few of her successful films, they include Sweety Nanna Jodi (Kannada), Panchatanthiram (Tamil), the Baahubali series (Telugu), and Super Deluxe (Tamil).

Ramya had previously praised SS Rajamouli and stated that she had no idea the Baahubali series would become as well-known as it has, since they were only creating a typical Telugu film at the time. She was pleased that Baahubali's success led to pan-Indianization.
