Samantha Prabhu, South's leading lady, has been regaining strength since revealing last year that she was suffering from a rare ailment known as "Myositis." She is having treatment while also returning to work. Many of her films were delayed due to her health condition.
She has numerous projects on her plate and fans can’t wait to see her shine on the silver screens. The actor had last month resumed the shoot of her most-awaited film ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda. The shooting was stopped because of her treatment and recently the team wrapped up the film. Finally, after much delay, the makers have now announced the film’s release date.
Now, the release date has been confirmed with a brilliant new poster. Kushi will be released in theatres on September 1, 2023. Samantha and Vijay are shown holding hands in diverse backgrounds in the new poster. According to the poster, the film promises a lovely love story. The poster literally gives you colorful and pleasant vibes and it looks like their chemistry in the film will be one to watch out for.
Samantha and Vijay are paired opposite one other for the second time in a Shiva Nirvana-directed film, following Mahanati. The film also stars Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Srikanth Iyengar in supporting roles.
‘Shaakuntalam’, Samantha's long-awaited mythical film, is ready to be released next month. The film will now be out in theatres on April 14. She is also currently shooting for the Prime Video web series ‘Citadel’ an Indian adaptation helmed by Raj & DK and starring Varun Dhawan as the male lead.
