Khatija Rahman, daughter of music icon AR Rahman, married Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an audio engineer. A portrait of his late mother was put near the bride and groom's seating area in a family photo from the wedding ceremony, which the music composer shared.
The bride and groom were dressed in white and posed on a sofa for the camera. Behind them are AR Rahman's elder daughter Raheema, wife Saira Banu, the music composer himself, and his son Ameen. Rahman captioned the picture, “May the Almighty bless the couple .. thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love khatija.rahman riyasdeenriyan #nikkahceremony #marriage.”
In the comments section, Rahman's colleagues complimented Khatija and her family. "Congratulations to the entire family!" wrote singer Harshdeep Kaur. "Hearty congratulations khatija.rahman riyasdeenriyan, God bless the beautiful couple," singer Shreya Ghosal commented.
In January of this year, Khatija and Riyasdeen got engaged. She had already shared several images from the engagement ceremony, in which she was dressed in a pink and silver attire. Her post read, “With the blessings of the Almighty I’m happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring entrepreneur and a wizkid audio engineer. The engagement happened on 29th December, my birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones.”
Khatija is a musician, just like her father. She has performed a number of songs, including Rock a Bye Baby for Mimi (2021), starring Kriti Sanon.
