Filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor’s Telugu directorial Good Luck Sakhi is ready for its digital premiere on February 12, as announced by Prime Video on Wednesday. The Telugu comedy-drama film starring Keerthy Suresh also has Aadhi and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.

Good Luck Sakhi released in cinemas on January 28 but failed to attract huge audiences due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. So, the makers have now decided to stream it exclusively on Prime Video for viewers in over 240 countries and territories, in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil.

Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of a very cheerful young girl Sakhi Pamar, who belongs to Banjara Tribe of the Rayalaseema region in Good Luck Sakhi. She is nicknamed “Bad Luck Sakhi” as the villager’s regard her presence as a bad omen and a harbinger of troubled times.

A colonel, played by Jagapathi Babu, arrives in the village, looking for an up-and-coming shooter who wants to prepare for the biggest stage. Sakhi has a gift to point the goals that makes it natural in shooting. Now let’s see how far will Sakhi fly under the guidance of the colonel?

Speaking at the pre-release event, Keerthy Suresh described Good Luck Sakhi as a fun film. “Thanks to director Nagesh Kukunoor and producers for giving me this opportunity. The film came out well. After an off-beat film like Hyderabad Blues at the beginning of his career, Nagesh came up with a different subject like Good Luck Sakhi,” she said.
