As a horrible tragedy occurred on the actor Suriya's birthday, the joyous atmosphere among his supporters changed into grief. Two fans died in a terrible accident on July 23, 2023 while erecting a banner to commemorate the special day of their favourite actor.
N Venkatesh and P Sai, both were first-year students at a private institution in the town of Narasaraopet. For Suriya's supporters in Andhra Pradesh, the day that ought to have been joyful turned into a heartbreaking ordeal. The birthday banner installation resulted in the untimely deaths of the two young fans who were exposed to electric shock.

A sneak peek of the actor's upcoming movie ‘Kanguva’ went viral online, and the fans wanted to celebrate by doing something spectacular.
The unfortunate electrocution of both fans occurred as a result of the flex connected to an iron rod coming into contact by accident with an overhead electric wire, according to the police investigation. The incident happened immediately, preventing any chance for assistance. The late Poluri Sai's sister, Ananya, expressed her sorrow and blamed the college for her brother's passing.
She said, "The college assured us of the students' safety and monitoring, but they have failed to protect and monitor the students in the hostel. My brother's death is the college's responsibility."
The whole Suriya fandom lamented the passing of their comrades as word of the incident spread. While Suriya has not yet responded to the unfortunate incident, his supporters are extending their sympathies and support during this trying time.
