Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, the elder brother of 'RRR' actor Jr NTR, has passed away at the age of 39. The actor-cum-politician breathed his last on Saturday (February 18) at the Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital in Bangalore (where he was admitted for quite some time now).
In January, Taraka Ratna had collapsed in political rally after suffering a cardiac arrest and was under treatment at the hospital since then.
For the unversed, Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was a leader from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He was the grandson of Telugu actor and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister of N. T. Rama Rao. Taraka Ratna is survived by his wife and daughters.
In a career spanning two decades, he has acted in many film down south. The actor made his cinematic debut in 2003 with the film 'Okato Number Kurraadu'. Post this, he featured in a number of films as lead and also as the antagonist.
The sudden demise of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna has sent shock waves across the South film industry. Several Tollywood actors like Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu have mourned his demise.
Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi took to social media amd penned an emotional note stating how hard working Nandamuri was and that he's going to miss his presence around.
Similarly, 'Pushpa- The Rise' actor Allu Arjun said he is shocked and heartbroken at the passing away of Taraka Ratna garu. He took to twitter and offered condolences to the family, friends and fans of the late actor.
