The superstar of the Indian cinema industry, Rajinikanth, will collaborate with the up-and-coming director Nelson Dilipkumar on his 169th film, Jailer. Social media buzz and anticipation for the film were sparked by the title poster alone. Another intriguing development from the film has recently been unveiled. A sizable set has already been built in Ramoji Film City, where filming for this movie may begin in the second week of August.

A set built in a Hyderabad film city in consideration of the pandemic threat served as the primary location for the majority of Rajinikanth's last film, Annaatthe (2021). Similar to this, Jailer producers have begun to set up for the set work. They intend to film the majority of Jailer in Hyderabad, a city known for its film industry.

Nelson Dilipkumar and Rajinikanth have been in regular contact on the final script for the movie, and the actor has allowed the filmmaker complete creative freedom to tell the story in his own unique way. Rajinikanth wants the movie to be entirely the director's vision, hence he has also asked Nelson Dilipkumar to choose the actors and crew.

According to reports, this film may star Shivarajkumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Mohan, Sivakarthikeyan, and Ramya Krishnan, and the songs would be composed by rising artist Anirudh Ravichander.
