Today, August 10,2023 the eagerly anticipated Rajinikanth film 'Jailer' has finally arrived in theatres. Rajinikanth makes a triumphant comeback in the movie after a two-year absence. As his movie 'Jailer' opened in theatres all over Chennai, Rajinikanth's fans could be seen cheering.

As soon as Rajinikanth's action-thriller movie 'Jailer' debuted on Thursday, fans flocked to theatres in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in significant numbers. Many of the renowned actor's followers were observed in the early morning hours at the theatres, and some were even seen running hysterically through the doors and into the auditorium.

A Japanese couple made the trip to Chennai from Osaka to see Rajinikanth's most recent movie, 'Jailer.' “To see the Jailer movie, we have come from Japan to Chennai," said Yasuda Hidetoshi, president of the Rajinikanth fan club in Japan, to PTI.

According to media sources, the movie has made Rs 12.8 crore in advance sales, or about six lakh tickets.

Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan are all featured prominently in the action-packed comedy ‘Jailer.’ Rajinikanth played the role of the police officer's father in the movie. The movie also showed how a common person may defeat wicked men with weapons like swords and guns.

The anticipation for the movie has reached such a pitch that, as previously reported by LiveMint, businesses in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared August 10th a holiday for staff.

Following his final appearance in the 2021 film 'Annaatthe,' Rajinikanth makes a comeback with 'Jailer.' Despite the high expectations 'Annaatthe' raised, it didn't quite achieve the expected box office success that comes with the presence of the seasoned superstar.
