The latest reports unveil that the esteemed digital streaming rights for ‘Jailer’ have been secured through a collaboration between Kalanithi Maran's production house, Sun Pictures, and Netflix. Soon, audiences can enjoy the movie's streaming experience on the Sun NXT platform. Additionally, Sun Network has acquired the satellite rights for ‘Jailer’ in multiple language versions, encompassing Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
In the wake of its successful theatrical run, ‘Jailer’ is poised to transition to the digital realm after completing its 28-day tenure in cinemas. While an official confirmation is yet to be provided, the shift to the Sun NXT platform is tentatively slated for around September 6th or 7th.
The film's impact was profound from its initial release, especially during its extended opening weekend. Premiering on Thursday, August 10th, ‘Jailer’ recorded an impressive worldwide collection of over Rs 300 crore within its extended weekend. By the fourth day of its theatrical run, the movie achieved a notable collection of approximately Rs 38 crore from all language versions combined. The opening weekend concluded with ‘Jailer’ amassing a total domestic collection of Rs 146.40 crore.
