The highly anticipated psycho-thriller flick ‘Iraivan’ is ready to launch on OTT platforms. This gripping story, featuring the dynamic duo of Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, is sure to captivate spectators. The wait is finally over, as the film premieres on Netflix today, October 26.
On September 28, the film ‘Iraivan’ was released in theatres in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. It received much critical acclaim. This enthralling drama is now finding its way to our home screens, beginning today.
‘Iraivan's’ narrative revolves around ACP Arjun (Jayam Ravi) and his relentless pursuit of a heinous criminal. When Arjun's colleague, Andrew, is slain in the line of duty, tragic events ensue, leading in the apprehension of the murderer, Brahma (Rahul Bose).
However, this heinous incident forces Arjun to resign from the police force. He is troubled by his extreme PTSD, and he begins to be wary of young women, including his fiancée Priya (Nayanthara), for fear of being the next victim. Arjun embarks on a mission to locate Brahma, only to make an unexpected discovery that sets the tone for the rest of the film.
In addition to Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, Vinoth Kishan, Rahul Bose, Vijayalakshmi, Narain, Ashish Vidyarthi, and many more play important supporting roles in Iraivan. I. Ahmed wrote and directed the film, and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the soundtrack. Cinematography and editing are handled by Hari K. Vedantam and J. V. Manikanda Balaji, respectively.
In the future, Jayam Ravi is likely to please audiences with upcoming projects such as ‘Siren’, ‘Genie’, and ‘Brother.’ With two theatrical projects in the works, the actor is primed for a big box-office comeback.
Nayanthara's 75th film, ‘Annapoorani’, will be released later this year. The film is directed by Nilesh Krishna and stars Redin Kingsly, Jai, Sathyaraj, Karthik Kumar, and many others. On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, the film's teaser was released on October 24.
