Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram (2022), starring Kamal Haasan in the title character, has become a box office hit, grossing over Rs 300 crore worldwide. In the high-profile film, Suriya appears in a cameo role as Rolex, the drug kingpin, alongside Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi as Amar, the black squad ops head, and Santhanam, the drug leader.

Now, Haasan, who also produced the film under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International, has reacted to the film's worldwide success and disclosed what he plans to do with the earnings. Vikram is, without a doubt, Kamal's most successful film in his six-decade-long career.

At a press conference in Chennai, the Anbe Sivam (2003) actor said, "If everyone should progress, you need a leader who doesn’t have to worry about money. When I said that ‘I can earn Rs 300 crore in a snap’, nobody understood it. They thought that I was beating my chest. You can see now it’s coming."

"I will repay all my loans, I will eat to my heart’s content and I will give whatever I can to my family and friends. After that if I don’t have anything left, I will say I don’t have any more to give. I don’t have to pretend to help others by taking someone else’s money. I don’t want any grand titles. I just want to be a good human being," said the 67-year-old actor.

The film is a successor to the 1986 success Vikram, featuring Kamal Haasan as Agent Vikram, and will be followed by another installment soon.
