SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR (2022) took the world by storm. Whether it’s larger-than-life sets, action sequences, VFX, and outstanding performances by the cast, the film ticked all the boxes aptly and did terrific business at the ticket counter.
Starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles, RRR became one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever, with a worldwide collection of over Rs. 1,000 crore.
Recently, post the movie's release on OTT giant Netflix, viewers from across the world started hinting at the apparent 'gay bonding' between the lead actors (Ram Charan and Jr. NTR) in the film.
Commenting on the issue, filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma aka RGV shared a news report about RRR on Twitter that read, 'They are so gay'. Sharing this, RGV wrote, "I was right ????."

While Indian viewers appear divided on this debate, people in western countries who watched RRR have outlined a strong queer nature of the male leads. Some even expressed on social media how much they loved the film and the 'gay romance' between Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.
Noteworthy, RRR was written by KV. Vijayendra Prasad and produced by DVV Danayya. An epic period drama set in the British Raj, the film stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan as leads, along with Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, and others playing other pivotal roles in the film.
The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
